Glowdays Terms of Use and Community Guidelines
Effective date: 15 October 2026 · Version: en-1
Welcome to Glowdays. These terms set out the rules between you and Halil İbrahim Kes ("we", "us") when you use the Glowdays mobile app and the glowdays.app website (the "service"). By using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
How we handle personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
1. What Glowdays is — and is not
Glowdays is a cosmetic skincare guide offering product and ingredient information, ingredient-list analysis, skincare routines, a shelf, a journal, articles, product reviews and a community.
Glowdays is not a medical service. It does not diagnose, does not recommend treatment and is not a medical device; it does not replace a doctor, dermatologist or pharmacist. The compatibility score, "Matches my profile", routine suggestions, ingredient analyses, routine evaluation and articles are general information and suggestions. If a product causes an allergy, irritation or any unexpected reaction, stop using it and consult a healthcare professional. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or using skin medication, ask your doctor before starting a new product.
Product information is compiled from brands, packaging, user submissions and open sources such as Open Beauty Facts. We try to keep it accurate, but it may be incomplete, outdated or wrong, and brands can change formulas without notice. Check the ingredient list and warnings on the packaging before use. Glowdays does not sell products or show prices.
2. Who can use Glowdays
- Glowdays is for people aged 18 and over. By using the app you confirm that you are at least 18.
- If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of your information and for keeping your account secure (your device and sign-in method). You may not transfer your account to anyone else.
- You can use the core features without an account; writing reviews, posting in the community and submitting products require one.
3. Licence to use
As long as you follow these terms, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive and revocable licence to use Glowdays for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:
- copy, reverse-engineer or try to extract the source code of the app or its database (except where the law expressly allows it);
- collect data with automated tools (scraping): products, ingredients, reviews, prices or user data, using bots, scrapers, browser extensions, bulk or systematic queries, or any software that reaches our servers outside the Glowdays app. The Glowdays application programming interface (API) exists only to serve the Glowdays app; it is not a public API. The catalogue and ingredient dictionary are our database and our work (records taken from open data sources remain subject to those sources' licences). We may block anyone who breaches this without notice, close their account and take legal action;
- try to bypass rate limits, security measures or access restrictions, or overload our servers;
- use the service for unlawful purposes or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
- use the Glowdays name, logo or design without permission, or pretend to be Glowdays or its team.
4. Your content
"Content" means your product reviews, community posts and comments, photos, polls, shared routine snapshots and product submissions.
- Your content stays yours. You keep ownership of what you share.
- By sharing content you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display, store, format (e.g. resize photos, remove metadata), translate and use it within Glowdays to run and promote the service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for a reasonable period for legal retention, backup expiry and quotes already shared by others.
- Product submissions: the facts you provide (name, brand, barcode, ingredient list, size) are added to our product database if approved and stay there even if you delete your account; the link to you is removed. No photos are requested for submissions; products are shown with illustrations, not photos.
- You confirm that you have the necessary rights to the content you share and that it complies with these terms and the law. Do not share someone else's photo, text or personal information without permission.
- Reviews and posts are published publicly under your nickname. If you choose, your skin type and age range are shown too.
5. Moderation
- Posts and comments go live immediately; an automatic filter blocks text containing links, contact details or profanity.
- You can report content you believe breaks the rules from within the app. If several users report the same content, it is hidden automatically and reviewed by our team. Content you report is hidden for you straight away.
- Our team may hide or remove content without notice if it breaks these rules or the law. Removing or not removing content does not mean we endorse it; the person who shared it is responsible for it.
- We may restrict posting, suspend or close accounts that break the rules repeatedly or seriously.
- If you think content was removed by mistake, write to support@glowdays.app and we will take another look.
- Use the same address to notify us of unlawful content (e.g. infringement of personality rights or copyright); we will assess notices promptly.
6. Articles and "Reviewed by a pharmacist"
Articles in Learn are for general information. The "Reviewed by a pharmacist" badge means a pharmacist has read the article in the language it is published in; it is not personal medical advice. We cite sources; their owners are responsible for their own content.
7. Community guidelines
The community is for people learning about skincare from each other. What is written here is personal experience, not medical advice.
- Be kind. Don't put anyone down, mock or harass anyone. Don't target anyone for their appearance, skin tone, skin condition, age, gender, origin, beliefs or any other characteristic. Hate speech is not allowed.
- Don't share personal information. Don't share your own or anyone else's real name, phone number, email, address or social media accounts. Don't use your real name as your nickname.
- No face or skin photos. Products, packaging and shelves only. Photos must not show faces, bodies, personal documents or other people's information.
- No ads and no links. No selling, discount codes, affiliate links, promoting your own account or shop, or bulk or repeated posting (spam). If you have a connection with a brand (employee, representative, paid partnership), don't review or promote its products.
- Don't diagnose or recommend medication. Don't write things like "this is definitely rosacea", "use this antibiotic" or "don't see a doctor". Don't recommend prescription drugs or dangerous home-made mixtures. Point people to a doctor for anything serious.
- Be honest. Don't review products you haven't used, write fake reviews or ratings, review the same product from more than one account, or impersonate someone else.
- Stay on topic. Keep posts about skincare, products and routines, and pick the right category.
- Follow the law. Don't share copyrighted content without permission; don't promote illegal products, substances or activities; don't share sexual or violent content.
- Report, don't fight. Report inappropriate content instead of arguing; our team will take a look.
8. Paid features
Glowdays' core features are free. The Premium subscription (monthly or yearly) adds features such as the Mirror, the face map in the journal and ad-free use. The price, duration, any free trial and the renewal terms are clearly shown in the store screen before purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period; you can cancel at any time in your store account settings and keep using it until the period ends. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds follow the rules of the App Store or Google Play; refund requests go to the store. Because digital content is delivered immediately, by confirming the purchase you agree that the right of withdrawal does not apply to it, subject to the store's rules.
9. Intellectual property
The Glowdays name, logo, design, software, articles, illustrations and compiled product database belong to us or our licensors. Part of the product data comes from the Open Beauty Facts database under the Open Database License (ODbL); that data and databases derived from it are subject to that licence. Brand and product names belong to their owners; their appearance does not imply any partnership with those brands.
10. Limitation of liability
- We provide Glowdays "as is". We do not guarantee that it will run without interruption or errors, or that all product information will be accurate and up to date. We may change, add or remove features.
- We do not make or sell products; the manufacturer and seller are responsible for a product's effects and side effects.
- Recommendations and analyses in the app are general information; to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for damage arising from decisions you make based on them, in particular without consulting a healthcare professional.
- The person who shares user content is responsible for it.
- These limitations do not apply to intent or gross negligence on our part, to harm to life or health, or to rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.
11. Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings > "Delete account"; your account and server-side data (reviews, posts, routine / shelf sync, skin profile, consent records) are deleted. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
- If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may suspend or close your account; where possible we will tell you why.
- You can delete the data on your device in Settings > "Delete my data on this device".
12. Changes
We may update these terms. We will notify you in the app before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using the app after the change, you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can delete your account and stop using the app.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers in Türkiye can apply to consumer arbitration committees within the monetary limits set by law and to consumer courts above them, including those where they live. For non-consumers, the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence also apply, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
